LSAW steel pipe (longitudinal submerged arc welded steel pipe) is made of blade steel plate as raw material, and the steel plate is pressed (rolled) into a mold or forming machine and is produced by double-sided submerged arc welding and flaring. The finished product has a wide range of specifications, good weld toughness, good ductility, uniform and dense, with large diameter, large wall thickness, high pressure resistance, low temperature corrosion resistance and other characteristics. In the construction of high strength, high toughness and high quality long distance oil and gas pipelines, the steel pipes are mostly large-diameter thick wall LSAW.
Longitudinally welded steel pipes are used in onshore and offshore oil and gas pipelines for demanding service, high performance and tight tolerances. LSAW pipes are also used to transport flammable and non-flammable liquids, as well as structural components in construction projects.
Longitudinal submerged arc welded pipe (LSAW) is a JCOE pipe with straight seam and straight welding, and the outer diameter is generally 323mm ~ 1420mm. When the outer diameter is above 914.4mm, two straight welds are allowed. LSAW pipelines are used to transport low pressure liquid media or high pressure oil and natural gas, and can also be widely used for structural support or foundation. The advantage of the LSAW type is that they can produce a much thicker tube wall thickness, up to 120mm.
